You can get to Islay by sea or air using either public
transport or your own boat or plane. Which ever way you choose it will need some

By Sea |
For most of its history the only way to get to Islay has been
by sea and it is still the most common method of transport.

If you are using your own boat Port Ellen has recently had
fully serviced pontoons installed for visiting yachts, and other moorings are

Islay is twenty
minutes flying time from Glasgow from where there are
connections to the rest of Europe and the World. |
