Whilst there's always plenty to do and see on Islay, visiting when there is a special event planned can add to the attraction of the island. In 2007 the main events are:

FEIS ILE - THE ISLAY FESTIVAL OF MALT AND MUSIC (26 May - 2 June 2007)

GAELIC SUMMER COURSES  (July/August)

THE CANTILENA FESTIVAL ON ISLAY (Easter and July/August)

THE ISLAY JAZZ FESTIVAL  (September\)

Accommodation on the island is certain to be scarce at these times so book early!
